I was reading about the difference of costs from in the 80's compared to today. I wanted to share some of that with you. The average cost of a new home: $127,200.00 A VCR(no DVDs yet): $270.00 Ground Beef = 3 bucks a pound An 11oz can of ground coffee: $2.00 A six-pack of Coke: $1.89 Box of Frozen waffles: $1.50 A 10 Disk CD Changer: $400.00 A camcorder: $100.00 A first class stamp: $0.22 Gas: $0.96 per gallon! A candy bar: $0.40 A walkman: $45.00 A dozen eggs: $1.00 A gallon of milk: $1.80 A loaf of bread: $1.25 Average price of a new car: $10,500.00 A pack of Cigs: $1.25 (actually I remember when my mom bought them for $1.10) A box of cereal: $1.90 A Car Phone: $1,400.00 One Share of Microsoft Stocks: about $100.00 Times sure have changed! I remember when a walkman was out of the question for me because they were so expensive. A Cabbage Patch Doll at $35.00 was way too expensive as well.  What was your favorite 80's toy? 

So this is one of those "confessions". Now I do not know if this will make me or break me but I have to be honest. Ready? Here goes... I am an anti soc! You can only imagine how hard that makes it for me to actually get out and sell Avon. They say I should be doing it door to door. I just can not seem to do it. This lady came to my door the other night selling some type of organic cleaner. She was very excited about her product. I kinda wanted it but I just did not have the means at the time to pay for it. She was telling me how pretty I was and how I was smart.. etc! She was "really" hard to say no to! She would not even let me get a word in edge wise. So now she was beginning to frustrated me. I just wanted to be able to say no and have her move on to the next where someone might say yes but not make her feel bad at the same time.
